M Karunakar Reddy has the distinction of being the only CEO in the forefront to help the needy at times of calamities and natural disasters.  For instance, Karunakar Reddy stood first in line by providing drinking water for the flood-hit public in Jammu and Kashmir and for the victims of Hudhud cyclone during 2014 and during Kerala floods in 2018. His initiative was appreciated by the Chief Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and various Ministries of Government of India.
